Roy Titus started Minuteman Press along with his son Bob in Plainview, New York in 1973. The senior Titus had worked in several different types of businesses and saw a common need among them all: printing services. His operation was successful, and the first franchised location opened in 1975. The company formed a relationship with 3M company which gave them an edge over the competition, as they had access to the 3M’s state-of-the-art materials.
